Peeled Cacao Beans
With a smoother, milder flavor than traditional cacao nibs and beans, our unroasted cacao beans are a great, chocolatey substitute for nuts or cacao nibs for small batch chocolate making, chocolate chip replacement, baking, mochas & drinking chocolate.
Honduras Tasting Note: nutty, roasted coffee, deep dark chocolate, mild tropical fruit notes (banana, pineapple, mango depending on fermentation lot).
Indonesia Tasting Note: jammy red fruit (cherry, plum or grape / raisin depending on fermentation lot) and wine notes, mild chocolate flavor.
Product: Cacao Beans - peeled (i.e. without shells), whole + pieces, unroasted, unflavored. Roasting after the cacao beans have been peeled yields a smoother flavor.
